Key trends include outdoor zoning, the creation of functional areas: such as kids' garden kitchens and the use of native plants paired with local materials like Bulgarian granite and gneiss. Roots are not created overnight. They are built slowly—through rituals, repetition, and time spent together. A home is not just a place, but a stage where these moments unfold again and again. And often, the yard and the fire become their natural center. The true value is not in the space itself, but in what happens within it—the gatherings, the conversations, and the memories that remain.
read moreWhy do some people want to touch the stone… while others ask how to clean it?
In Raimar’s showroom, we clearly see two different ways people perceive natural stone. Some people feel it. They touch the surfaces, explore the texture, and connect with its natural character. For them, stone is an experience. Others analyze it. They ask about maintenance, look for uniformity and predictability. For them, the material is purely functional. This difference is not about experience, education, or status. It comes down to how we perceive the world: through sensitivity or through control. Science explains this clearly: touch creates a sense of reality, natural variation holds our attention and reduces stress, and our connection to nature brings a sense of calm. That is why choosing natural stone is not just a technical decision. It is a choice about how you want to feel in your project: whether you seek perfection and control, or authenticity, character, and a connection to nature.

read moreNatural Stone and Sustainable Construction: European Regulations and Emerging Trends
European construction is gradually shifting from evaluating materials based on initial cost toward analyzing their performance throughout their entire life cycle. New European regulations, such as the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), require measuring the carbon footprint and environmental impact of materials—from extraction to the end of their service life. In this context, natural stone is once again being viewed as a material with significant advantages due to its durability, reusability, and long-term sustainability. European cities frequently use granite for curbs and paving precisely because of its ability to last for decades and its potential to be dismantled and repurposed. Scientific research shows that the sustainability of materials depends not only on their production footprint but also on factors such as transportation, processing, design, and service life. When considering the entire life cycle of a project, choosing long-lasting materials can significantly reduce both costs and the overall environmental footprint.
read moreWhy do we offer over 600 natural stone products? The answer is coherence.
When planning a project with natural stone, the most exceptional results are achieved when the materials are viewed as a holistic system rather than a collection of isolated solutions. Achieving a truly unified vision requires several key elements of a project to be considered simultaneously: The Facade and Fences: These set the primary tone and character of the home. Window Sills: Serving as subtle yet essential architectural details. Exterior Flooring, Steps, and Landings: These define the movement and flow throughout the space. Driveway Pavers and Garden Paths: Creating the vital connection between the building and the yard. Decorative Stones: Providing both practicality and a natural aesthetic to specialized zones. When these solutions are designed in unison, they create a profound sense of harmony and architectural integrity. Each stone element ceases to be a standalone product and instead becomes a vital part of a single, cohesive story—realizing a vision that is built to last.

The most successful projects are rooted in professional planning and rigorous oversight of the execution. Key Takeaways: Systems Thinking: Moving beyond "just a yard" to an integrated infrastructure. Professional Roles: The importance of clear communication between all parties involved. Longevity: Planning for a result that lasts a lifetime.
