Translucent Stone Veneer for Backlighting – SKIN Indian Autumn | SKIN Stone Wallpapers 210 x 105 cm
The translucent SKIN stone wallpapers are an innovative product designed for special interior solutions. When combined with effective lighting, they bring a vivid character and radiant atmosphere to any space.
The Indian Autumn model stands out with its vibrant expressiveness, bold patterns, and a strikingly varied appearance depending on whether it is illuminated or not. This is the model with the richest color palette—each panel is a unique natural painting.
Translucent stone veneers offer a new way to bring the beauty of natural stone into interior design, turning it into a central feature in any space.
Applications include:
Interior and exterior wall cladding, ceiling coverings, furniture, bar counters, doors, fireplaces, kitchen backsplashes, and more.
Not suitable for:
Floor coverings in commercial spaces or high-traffic areas.
They can be installed on frames or bases made of chipboard (particleboard), MDF, metal, PVC, other plastic boards, or plexiglass structures to enable backlighting with LED or other decorative lighting.
The stone surface of SKIN wallpapers has UV protection and can withstand years of intense sunlight. They handle thermal expansion and contraction of most standard construction materials. The impregnated stone wallpapers also endure high temperatures and repeated freezing.
As a creation of nature, SKIN wallpapers naturally vary in color and texture—this is a feature, not a flaw. Each sheet is unique.

Impregnate.
For detailed information about each stage, follow the instructions carefully to achieve unique interior or exterior designs with SKIN stone wallpapers.
Safety Precautions
When handling SKIN stone wallpapers, always wear protective gear: gloves, safety goggles, and a dust mask.
Cutting the material releases fiberglass dust, so eye and skin protection is essential.
Required Equipment
-
Angle grinder or circular saw with a thin cutting disc
-
Caulking gun
-
Roller
-
Tape measure, fine sandpaper, and masking tape
-
Protective gear: gloves, goggles, dust mask
Preparation
-
Store the wallpapers flat and protect the surface from scratches.
-
Clean surfaces from dust, moisture, or contaminants—wet spots may compromise the adhesive.
-
Prime the walls.
-
Dry-fit the stone wallpaper onto the surface to visualize layout and match textures and shades. Number the sheets according to your chosen arrangement.
Adhesive
We recommend using CRYSTAL Polymer Transparent Adhesive SOUDAL FIX ALL (tube) – a clear, polymer-based mounting adhesive.
As SKIN stone wallpapers are veneers, they must expand and contract with the substrate they are adhered to. For outdoor use, always consider thermal expansion. Note that adhesives may not bond properly between non-porous materials.
Application and Fixing
-
Measure the surface and calculate how many full sheets you’ll need and how many need cutting.
-
Create paper templates and tape them onto the stone wallpaper to guide cuts and protect the surface. Use templates again for curved surfaces.
-
Always cut from the back side of the wallpaper to avoid damaging the surface. Handle with care, as the surface can be easily scratched.
-
Immediately wipe off excess adhesive with a damp cloth.
-
For corner/edge applications without joints, allow for a 2 mm overlap from the front face to conceal the back side.
-
You can temporarily fix pieces with masking tape and sand the edges with fine sandpaper after the adhesive cures for a smooth transition.
Useful Info for Making Openings
Creating openings (e.g., for electrical outlets) is easy with standard tools like a drill or a diamond hole saw for dry drilling.
