The adhesive is applied with a standard silicone gun in lines every 10 cm, and a final pass is made with a rubber roller to remove air bubbles. The average consumption is approximately 1 bottle per wallpaper.
If you are concerned about staining with white adhesive, you can confidently use the transparent version of the polymer adhesive: CRYSTAL.
For external, facade cladding, and for bathrooms, wet areas: FLOOR and WALL bucket (polymer adhesive Fix ALL)
The adhesive is applied with a spatula size B3 (tooth 3mm) over the entire back surface of the wallpaper or on the wall (whichever is more convenient). The wallpaper is glued, and again, it is passed with a pressing rubber roller for even spreading and removing air pockets. The average consumption is approximately 1 kg per 1 sq.m.
If you accidentally get adhesive on the front side of the wallpaper, use the super practical and effective SWIPEX wipes.
The adhesives from the Fix ALL series adhere everything to all surfaces except polyethylene, nylon, and polypropylene.
Before gluing, the wall must be strong, dust-free, degreased, and not porous. For added security, it is always good to prime it beforehand.
After installation and cleaning, we recommend impregnating the wallpapers with a natural stone product (Universal impregnator from Akemi or ECO water-based impregnator, odorless MattstoneH2O LTP). The consumption rate for both options is 10-15 sq.m per 1 liter. This way, the stone surface is protected from water absorption, stain formation, and maintenance is facilitated. The procedure is straightforward: the stone wallpapers are simply coated with a roller or brush and left to dry naturally.
The sto ne veneer is a panel that resembles natural thin veneer sheets of wood in terms of installation and application. However, the surface is natural stone, and SKIN wallpapers are also suitable for outdoor or wet areas.
Stone veneers consist of a thin layer of natural stone and a fiberglass backing, bonded with waterproof polyester resin. The thickness is only 1.5-3mm, and the weight is about 2kg/sq.m.
They are suitable for both interior and exterior projects because they are waterproof and UV resistant. Applications include cladding of interior walls, wet rooms, bathrooms, fireplaces, facade cladding, house plinths, fences, or other wall decorations.
They are adhered with Soudal T-rex or Fix All polymer mounting adhesive, which works on all types of surfaces. The adhesive consumption rate is 1 canister per 1 sq.m. The notched trowel should be sized B3 with a triangular tooth of 3mm.
It is cut to size using a regular angle grinder or circular saw with a thin blade. The installation of stone wallpapers is a delicate and precise task, similar to working with wood veneer.
For outdoor applications, we recommend leaving a staggered joint of 3-5mm to be filled with a quality grout that can accommodate expansions.
For indoor applications, we also recommend grouting between the panels, in the corners, and edges with a suitable, blending color grout.
As with any natural stone, it is essential to impregnate and apply a single coat of quality products for easy maintenance and protection against dirt.
